雖然僵尸還是那些慢吞吞的惡心無腦僵尸，不過和《植物大戰(zhàn)僵尸》的塔防玩法不一樣，在本作中，玩家手中的籃球并不可以發(fā)射彈藥或者化作墻壁。在老爺子的院子里有個籃球框，玩家只需要劃動屏幕籃球丟進(jìn)框中就可以積累能量值，當(dāng)能量值足夠便可以將籃球換作炸彈、地雷、冰凍彈等等道具投擲到僵尸群中，造成大量傷害。

當(dāng)然，籃球也可以直接擊打僵尸，不過以籃球的硬度，那點傷害最多就只能擊殺一些最低級的行尸了。但是當(dāng)玩家往籃球框中連續(xù)投進(jìn)了十個球，畫面左上角的轉(zhuǎn)盤獎勵就會開啟，臨時獲得譬如可以讓僵尸著火的火焰籃球等效果加成。

游戲中的僵尸種類也異常豐富，除了最低級的無腦僵尸之外，還有會打傘防御籃球攻擊的“淑女”僵尸，拿著菜刀橫沖直撞的“奶奶”僵尸，每隔數(shù)關(guān)還有身形龐大皮厚血多的 BOSS 級別巨人僵尸，單靠一個小籃球和各種道具似乎也有些捉襟見肘。所以游戲中還會亂入各種奇怪而又強(qiáng)大的防御武器，比如不知道從哪里迷路搭乘 UFO 而來的外星人，噴吐著強(qiáng)勁火力的全自動機(jī)關(guān)槍等等特殊武器可以幫助玩家快速消滅僵尸。
