雖然僵尸還是那些慢吞吞的惡心無腦僵尸，不過和《植物大戰(zhàn)僵尸》的塔防玩法不一樣，在本作中，玩家手中的籃球并不可以發(fā)射彈藥或者化作墻壁。在老爺子的院子里有個籃球框，玩家只需要劃動屏幕籃球丟進框中就可以積累能量值，當能量值足夠便可以將籃球換作炸彈、地雷、冰凍彈等等道具投擲到僵尸群中，造成大量傷害。

當然，籃球也可以直接擊打僵尸，不過以籃球的硬度，那點傷害最多就只能擊殺一些最低級的行尸了。但是當玩家往籃球框中連續(xù)投進了十個球，畫面左上角的轉盤獎勵就會開啟，臨時獲得譬如可以讓僵尸著火的火焰籃球等效果加成。

游戲中的僵尸種類也異常豐富，除了最低級的無腦僵尸之外，還有會打傘防御籃球攻擊的“淑女”僵尸，拿著菜刀橫沖直撞的“奶奶”僵尸，每隔數(shù)關還有身形龐大皮厚血多的 BOSS 級別巨人僵尸，單靠一個小籃球和各種道具似乎也有些捉襟見肘。所以游戲中還會亂入各種奇怪而又強大的防御武器，比如不知道從哪里迷路搭乘 UFO 而來的外星人，噴吐著強勁火力的全自動機關槍等等特殊武器可以幫助玩家快速消滅僵尸。
